Autumn ’22 — My writing life involves days of typing alone, so it was a joy to spend time with a talented, inspiring group of creative women during a pilot coaching programme led by Tanya Paget of Ellipsis coaching. Here is a short video of what we did.
Sept ’22 – Tutored a viking themed flash fiction workshop at Aberdeen Art Gallery, for creatives aged 15-21, inspired by the fabulous Galloway Hoard.
Autumn ’22 – A pinch myself moment as Meg Pokrass, author of seven flash fiction collections, Mslexia columnist and founding editor of Best MicroFictions, agrees to be my mentor, as I edit my debut flash fiction collection, exploring mothering in its widest sense. Huge thanks to the Scottish Book Trust for organising.

August 21 – Absolutely delighted that The Fight of the Wyld Cattis, my piece about Scottish Wildcats, will be included in the World Wildlife Fund Great Scottish Canvas , available to view in their virtual gallery here. It will also be exhibited at the Glasgow Science Centre during October, and will be printed in the Great Scottish Canvas book, which will be used during the UN Climate Conference, COP26.
